DesktopsThe MacBook Pro is a computer. It has no way to be connected as somebody else's screen.
I am not sure how you decided it could be used that way, but it cannot be.

You need a video capture device to send HDMI video from the PS4 to your computer's Thunderbolt port.

Make sure HDCP is off.
