I was making some progress until overlay menu Became visible. I am able to copy one 4 sec clip and paste it below. Then I was doing again on other 4 sec clip on different location..copying and pasting for second layer.  i realized as I progressed I could find overlay that did not exist before. Then I was doing pic in pic. It worked nice.  Then I noticed Green Screen in overlay menu. I did not know what it was. Then I tried YouTube for tutorials on that g.s.  after several online tutorials, I now see what it's for. It is used to cut out anything that's green and overlay the second layer to make it look real.  now I then tried preferences again. That menu remains the same..ken burns 4 sec default clip.  I know Advanced Tools should be there..but not yet.  I wonder what they are. The missing manual does not explain how to access to it except shortcut info :

    command comma.

    I

    Things looked better than yesterday.

Maybe you can tell me what adv. tools is. I have many more questions. Many.

can I do multi layers more than just two?  I am trying to be familiar with iMovie. I don't think the missing manual is good book.

I forgot to add comment earlier RE copying and pasting..I was doing it from edit menu at the top.  I am supposed to do with mouse clicks.I cannot Do it. With practice, I may do it.

you may see I am learning. before I got into iMovie, I was wondering about its potential like cloning myself to make it look there are two same persons in clips. I know Magix can, but it's for Windows operating systems only.

MAybe be you can recommend other book on iMovie?
