Apple TV 4 Can't Launch 3rd Party Apps After Power Outage?

Just had a power outage this morning for several hours. After waking up Apple TV 4, I am unable to launch any third party apps. When you try and launch them you get a blank white screen and the home button becomes unresponsive. Menu seems to get me back to the home screen but sometimes the touchpad then becomes stuck and you can't navigate until you double tap menu to go to the screensaver and back again. Very odd.

Restarting the Apple TV does not fix the issue. Hard Resetting by unplugging the ATV also doesn't fix it. Running the current version of tvOS (as of March 10th). The only solution I've found besides a complete factory reset is to delete and reinstall all the third party apps to get them running again.

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and figured out an easier solution? I'd hate to have to do this after every power outage.

Apple TV (4th generation), tvOS 9.1.1
