The music on my MacBook Pro is missing.

I was resetting my iPhone while it was connected to the laptop, and when it was done all the music was missing from the laptop. All titles and info are there, but each song has an exclamation mark, and when I try to play a song, there is a message saying that it can't be found. How can I recover my music?

Right-click on one of those "missing" songs in iTunes, and select Get Info. In the Info window, go to the File tab. What does it say there for Location? Copy/paste the file path into your next reply. (If your real full name appears in the file path, you can substitute for it.)

That path shows where iTunes is expecting to find the missing song's file, and cannot anymore for some reason. It should provide the clues for why the song's file is no longer accessible by iTunes.
