i I have misplaced one of my iPhone's.
How do I add it to the list on "find my
phone"?

You must have on your iPhone's "Find My iPhone" configured and ON below the lost.
There's no way to switch Find My iPhone ON remotely.
Sometimes you can use find my iPhone on your iCloud by signing in online on you computer. Sometimes if you sign in you will not see it. That is the question I have on why I can not see it.
Does the device appear in Find My Phone or you just can't locate it? It needs to be on and have Wi-Fi access to locate it.
