Secure connection failed

I have a warning that has been popping up since yesterday. I haven't been able to find anything about it in particular. Today, the most recent thing that came up after I thought I had gotten rid of it this morning, my safari is showing

"secure connection failed, Safari uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted, because the issuer is unknown. (Safari Error Code : sec_error_unknown_issuer), (Mac OS Defender Error Code: 0x80073afc), (Error Code: 0x800705b4 when trying to open Mac OS Defender, This could be a problem with the servers configutation or it could be an attacker trying to impersonate the server. MAC OS HEALTH IS CRITICAL COMPUTER ID: 7800 Call toll free +1(855)460-9615".

THere is is also a gray window that says

from "http://alert8366.42ah15103018.4074-firewall-error.online":

it goes onto say that Mac OS has detected suspicious activity on my computer. It tells me not to shut down the computer or restart it as I may lose data and possible system failure.

I have no idea what to do. Please help me! Thank you, Kathi

Good evening guys. I tried all the stuff on those links for removing popups to no avail. I have made some discoveries, however. I'm hoping to attach a couple of shots that show what I'm seeing. I think I may have something called "Aztec Media". I tried searching this and only discovered that it's bad, but I could only find ways to remove it from PCs. So, the other day, seemingly randomly, I went to search for something and instead of my usual google search engine, Yahoo opened up. I've never used Yahoo for my search engine. I went into my system preferences to check it, and it was set to be Google, however, yahoo was still the one coming up. Then today I happened to that if I searched with this "yahoo" search engine, it would show as Aztec Media Yahoo Search Results. I didn't figure that was right, so here I am. I also was trying to follow some of the hyperlinks on one of the pages you directed me to and it sent something to my downloads. I opened the drop down and stopped the unknown download. It's called "amc_rb_mrtmac.pkg.download". It's telling my that it was created January 24, 1984 at 3:00 AM. Modified at the same time. I have no idea what it is or where it came from, but I noticed that there was a second one that appears to have downloaded all the way. It's not anything that I have particularly opened, but it's there in the dropdown list. Is this potentially part or all of my problem? How do I get rid of it. Everything that I'm seeing looks like older lists. Is this something newer that doesn't have as much information on it yet? I just want to get my internet back to normal! Please help me if you can! Thanks. Kathi

Take the downloads files and move them to the Trash. Restart and test.

Download this program which was written by Thomas Reed, a long time poster. The program will do the work for you which makes it easy. If you are uncertain about downloading programs, try the manual method.
