when I receive a map address, it doesn't show the link so I can not click on it to go to the map app, unless I re-send the same address on the same message thread, so I can show the link

closing the iMessage & restarting the iPhone solved the problem
Have you closed the iMessage app rebooted the phone and tried again?

I Did the reset, and confirmed location service is still on after the reset, but still same problem

You have a 6S so wondering if Force Touch plays a role as it is does in the 2015 line of MacBooks
It shows you two options only, 1- copy & 2- more
you can only forward the address if you hit on "more"
so basically nothing solves the problem
