Q: 2.2 cannot find server

Hello at all,

I´ve the same problem on a MacBook pro/Parallels 10/Windows 7 Ultimate. I hope that anybody has a idea how to fix it.

I´ts for me not urgently, I´m use Windows not for Work. I´ve the windows only on my computer to have a Windows.

I have the same problem on my PC- Windows 7, 64 bit.I was able to confirm that it is not my router or firewall, as I used my work laptop (same versions) through my router and had no problem. I also used my work VPN, and same problem with the PC. SO, I unistalled itunes and all the programs apple states in the order required, and reinstalled itune. Apple software update worked, and it wanted to install version 2.2. I did, and sure enough, the problem returned.

I disabled my PC firewall (Norton), and still had the problem. 

Conclusion: the problem is definitely in version 2.2, and only affects some machine configurations.

That is not the same problem. 2.2 installs, but then cannot contact the update server.

Found this info on another thread - and it worked perfectly for me:

Go to Control Panel / Internet Options / Advanced / Security / and UNcheck: "Do not save encrypted pages to disk".

And of course click APPLY and OK at the bottom.

Hope this works for anyone who is reading this.
