Will a 50 ft HDMI cable over work a Mid-2011 Mac Mini?

I want to run a 50 ft HDMI cable from my Mid-2011 Mac Mini computer station to my television. I want to use a 50 ft HDMI cable. Will using such a long cable over work or break my Mac Mini?

Also, due to my TV configuration, I have two HDMI ports. They are tied up with other devices. Will connecting a 50 ft HDMI cable to a splitter (on the television) add any stress to my Mac Mini (Mid-2011)?

Thank you for your help!

I had similar experience -- after spending big $$ with 100ft HDMI ( long time ago) and realized the limitation of HDMI cable length.

Fast forward --

I used the HDMI --> CAT 5 (ethernet) --> HDMI to reach 100 ft length

There are many products alike on the market, or an amplifier etc.

Monoprice also has plenty of ideas for other ideas.
