Q: Xsan samba show different ammount of files every reload

Hey

We have an huge issue with our XSan.

We connect from a Windows 7 machine to our XSan via Samba.

When we have more than 50-100 files in a folder, the XSan server does not return all files that are in that folder.

We have now about 450 files in the folder. The first time it showed for example 100 files, we reload, it shows 300 files, reload 66 files, 100 files, 400 files, ... and so on.

How can be fix that issue? We need to work with the windows machine on our XSan.

These are the specs that I got from our admin

Server 3.1.2

That's weird.

Is your Xsan volume case-sensitive? If it is, you might try making it case-insensitive. SMB is usually happier when served from a case-insensitive filesystem.

Hi

No, we checked. The Xsan is NOT case sensitive.
