Lately, two websites I frequent receive cdn.w55c.net warnings. On 10.6.8, I have tried all hints on the web. I am wondering if the sites, themselves, are compromised.

It's not the websites. The problem stems from using a very outdated Safari version on Snow Leopard v10.6.8.

You may have better luck accessing those websites using either the Firefoxor Chromebrowsers. Minimum requirement is v10.6 or later.

Keep in mind, Apple has not provided security updates for v10.6 Snow Leopard in years.
