I understand your Quicktime software is not working on your Windows 7 PC. Have you tried opening different video files with Quicktime to confirm the issue isn't with the current files you are trying to open? Are you able to open the .mov file in the link below using Quicktime?
Is your computer 32-bit or 64-bit? Make sure you are downloading the correct version of Quicktime.
Download QuickTime 7.7.9 for Windows
Have you updated your iTunes software? If the issue persists, you may need to uninstall and reinstall all iTunes components:
Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later
