Mac synchronizes ALL photos to iPhone

I have a lot of photos on my computer that I've taken with a camera that is NOT my iPhone. When I connect my phone to my computer it synchronizes all photos onto my phone. How do I make sure that only the photos I've taken with my phone is on my phone while still keep ALL my pictures in my "Photo"-folder on my computer?

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

Are you using iTunes Photo Sync? As described at this link? Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support

If you're synching from Photos, only your System Photo Library is available in iTunes.

  1. Choose the application you want to sync photos from in the pop-up menu.
  2. Choose to sync all photos or selected photos.
  3. Select "Include videos" to sync videos stored in that same app.User uploaded file

Set iTunes to sync only selected albums, when the iPhone is connected. Create a Smart album in Photos "New > Smart Album" and use a rule "Camera model is"
