reset SMC

Can I reset the SMC IF I only have 1 working arm? Is there a command line reset? I use a Mac mid 2011 under El Cap[itaine

There is no command line to reset the SMC. It's not clear whether you have a portable or a desktop model. If it's a desktop, all you have to do is turn it off and unplug the power cord for 15 seconds. If it's a portable with a non-removable battery, I doubt that you can reset the SMC without help, because the key combination is intended to require two hands.
