Adding older bank card to Apple Pay.

Hi there.

I have received a new bank card from my bank, the old card is still active and I can use it in shops/online etc, but I can't add it to Apple Pay. The new card registers fine but the old card now comes up with 'Can't add this card at this time'

Is this a known issue with Apple Pay, I recall there was a similar problem in late 2014 after the release of the iPhone 6.
