Q: Adding older bank card to Apple Pay.

Hi there.

 

I have received a new bank card from my bank, the old card is still active and I can use it in shops/online etc, but I can't add it to Apple Pay. The new card registers fine but the old card now comes up with 'Can't add this card at this time'

 

Is this a known issue with Apple Pay, I recall there was a similar problem in late 2014 after the release of the iPhone 6.

    Hi

     

    If the new card is a replacement for the old card - ie they relate to the same card account and the old card will soon expire - then you will likely be unable to add the old card to Apple Pay. You may wish to contact your bank to confirm this.
