Might I use my late 2009 iMac as a screen for a new Mac Mini? One has Thunderbolt, and the other has a mini-display port. Though they look the same, what cord should I buy?
iMac has 8GB Ram, El Capitan 10.11.3

You can use Target Display mode
Use your iMac as a display with Target Display Mode - Apple Support
only if you have the 27inch Late 2009 iMac

Thanks. I have the 21.5" iMac, so I guess linking with a cable is out of the question. I'll pursue one of the other options should I decide to go this route, thanks.
