Hi,

I am using MacBook Pro with OS X El Capitan to wirelessly connect to my printer Epson BX635FWD via AirPrint.

Printing seems to be fine but scanning is a problem with due to “An error occurred while communicating with the scanner – 9923.” I have tried to install the Epson software from the CD but again there is an issue with the scanner and the install fails due to “unable to find files.” I tried to download the latest OSx drivers from Epson too but that didn’t work. Any ideas please?

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately the Epson Stylus Office BX635FWD isn't a value for any of the available drop downs (i.e. All-in-one or Scanner)....Any more suggestions please - they are most welcome

Try Image Capture instead of the Epson software.

The exact same error occurs with the connection error:

"

An error occurred while communicating with the scanner – 9923.”

Any more suggestions please?

Does anyone have any further ideas please? Printing is fine via AirPrint but scanning results in the communication error as previously mentioned with either AirPrint or Image Capture.

I take it from the silence and lack of response some sort of fraud has occurred on either Apple or Epson's (or both) behalf(ves) and there is no solution ?
