Mar 12, 2016 6:20 PM in response to BobTheFishermanby old51crow,Thanks BobTheFisherman, but these would be two of the "other things mentioned on other discussions" I have read. The Macs have ever so briefly connected at random times, but only for a 15 seconds. I have been able to get a partially stable repeatable connection between them with the 'Search for an Older Mac' function. Still, the older Mac will drops off at some point. They don't simply reconnect afterwards, requiring a reboot of both Macs to reconnect. The 2010 Mac is simply too old to AirDrop to an iPhone or iPad, if I have read correctly. I'm still at a loss as to why the 2010 Mac has no options for who can discover it.
