What OS X are you running on the Mac? Are you using Photos? iPhoto? When you say you want to move them from one album to another, do you, literally want them out of one album and only showing in the other?

    Need more info.

    Cheers,

drag them from the source album to the destination album - if you no longer want them in the source album then select them there and press the delete key

If you want to move photos from Album A to Album B to merge Album A into Album B do the following:

1 - open the sidebar with the Option+Command+S key combination.

2 - with the two albums visible in the sidebar click on A.

3 - select the photos in A you want to move.

4 - drag them onto the Album B icon in the sidebar to add them to B.

5 - verify all of the photos are in B.

6 - delete the photos from A or Album A from the sidebar.
