Mar 13, 2016 6:35 AM in response to Briansyddallby Danny9400,I did that several times. It did charge overnight. However, this morning, I unplugged and plugged it back in and it again won't charge.
My iPad is out of warranty, so I assume I'm out of luck?

Mar 13, 2016 6:42 AM in response to Danny9400by SunOfRa78,You may have a damaged / faulty charge port.
Apple would likely offer you an out of warranty exchange if this is the case.
Or if you don't mind forgoing any out of warranty options, find a reputable independent repairer to replace the charge port for you.

Mar 27, 2016 8:08 AM in response to Danny9400by Danny9400,I went to an Apple store where a genius said the charge port is broken and recommended replacing my iPad for $300. In the meantime, I have been able to charge it by resetting it. Yesterday, it wouldn't charge at all no matter how many times I reset it. I found out today that it will still charge when it's fully turned off, though it takes longer than before.

Mar 27, 2016 2:14 PM in response to Danny9400by SunOfRa78,Thanks for the update. To give you an idea, a charge port replacement at an independent should cost between $60 - $100 (depending on which currency we are talking about).
