Cannot delete apps from Apple Watch

I cannot delete any apps from my watch. I've only developed this problem in the last month, after having the watch for nearly a year.

In the watch app on my iPhone that switch is grayed out.

I can still add apps but switching the button, but once done, I cannot switch it back.

I can turn glances on and off without a problem.

When I try the wiggly mode on the watch, there is no delete "X" at the corner of the icon.

Help!

Hi

A restriction against deleting apps may have been enabled on your iPhone.

To check this setting - and to turn it off, if the option is available to you:

- On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Restrictions.

If a restriction has instead been enforced on your iPhone via a corporate configuration profile / mobile device management, contact your device administrator for further information.

Hi,

Turning the restrictions off worked, and I was able to delete the apps I don't want / need on my watch. However once you re enable the restrictions back on the phone, the apps reinstall themselves to the watch.

Is there a way to permanently keep them off the watch? I need to keep the restrictions in place on the phone as I don't want my 4 year old deleting apps from the phone by mistake. Why does this affect only a handful of apps and not all of them?

Thanks

Ash
