Is there any way to get the Computer Name screen saver to show the clock on the login screen?
Not without using a different screen saver — and are you looking to do this with the server itself, or with clients configured and managed by the server?
Right now I am just trying to do this on the server but I may want to also apply it to managed clients in the future.
Find or purchase a different screen saver, or create one that does what you want. (This question isn't specific to OS X Server, though.)

Thanks for the links. However, from what the knowledge base article says, third party and custom screen savers will not work on the login screen in El Capitan for security reasons. I was trying to find out if anyone has figured out how to set the showClock option of the Computer Name screen saver when it is used on the login screen. It works fine when set as a screen saver by a user but the setting appears to be ignored when it is used for the login screen saver. Not sure if that is a bug or if it is intentionally deactivated on the login screen for some reason. At this point I don't think it is worth the trouble of trying to figure out. Just thought it would be a nice login screen saver.
