I have set up Faces in the Photos app on my Mac. When I take new photos of the same people who's faces have been "created", when do those photos get added to their album?

Photos is scanning photos forces, after the photos have been imported. face detection is running in the background and may take a while. Don't quit Photos after you imported new photos, so the faces scan can run when you are not using your Mac.
Look at the strip of unnamed faces and drag them to their corresponding faces album. If Photos recognizes more faces of the same person it will ask you to confirm the name.
when do new the faces on new photos get detected?
