Q: Apple tv 4 won't play purchased movies - not currently available in US store but they do play on ATV3 or on mac/ipad

Presumably the purchases were made in the US Store and that is where your account is active?

I cannot offer an explanation or a workaround. One for iTunes Store Support I think.

If you search for the movie in the Movies store and attempt to buy or play from the movie's product page, does that work? Usually if you click buy, it'll check to see if you own the asset already and just let you watch it and won't bill you again.

I've got the same issue since the software upgrade, various movies just show as boxes which won't load, but if I search for one and play it they work. requires more human memory and focus than i have!
