I accidentally put my phone through the wash. After the cycle I immediately put it in rice for the whole night. The next day, the screen was usable although I could still see water underneath the screen. Then all the sudden today my phone shut off. If someone calls me it still rings on their end but does nothing on mine. Is there anything I can still do??

Claim on your insurance and get a new one. It's most unlikely you can retrieve the phone to working order. Water corrodes the very fine copper strips that make up the circuit board, and the sort of thorough soaking your phone has been subjected to will cause permanent damage. It didn't all appear at once because it takes time for the corrosion to take place.
I'm sorry to appear negative, but NO. I doubt very much if it will continue even to the degree you refer to. Once water settles inside I'm afraid it is due for disposal. If you haven't had it too long, especially if it has Apple Care cover, get it back to the store.
The warranty does not cover abuse or accidental damage.
The amount of time they have owned the phone has no bearing on this
