Mar 15, 2016 9:18 AM in response to kelly_babeezby alex_h1,Hi there Kelly,
It sounds like you are concerned you will lose your data if you sync your phone to iTunes. Is there some sort of message saying that you have been syncing with another library or anything like that? Have you ever synced this phone to the iTunes library you are currently using?
Normally if anything is going to be erased you will get a message of some sort saying so. I would suggest you make an iCloud backup first to ensure your data is safe. Start by signing into your iCloud account so you can set it to sync your contacts, enable iCloud Photo Library and have them stored remotely:
http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html
Then proceed to making an iCloud backup:
Make a backup using iCloud
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.
- In iOS 8 or later, tap Settings > iCloud > Backup.
In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. - Make sure that iCloud Backup is turned on.

- Tap Back Up Now. Stay connected to your Wi-Fi network until the process completes.
- Make sure the backup finished by tapping Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage, and then select your device. The backup you just made should appear in the details with the time and backup size.
