Why Can't I update Existing and Install New Apps

Help? This has been going on for a couple of months. IOS 9.2.1 now. If I try to Sync with ITunes and look at my Apps everything needs to be updated or installed but it's all 'greyed' out. Can't update or install.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2.1

Hello kim macqueen,

I understand you are not able to update or install apps with iTunes on your Mac.

It sounds like there is a problem connecting to the iTunes Store for which the following articles should help.

Hey Kim,

On an iPhone when the apps are greyed out, it means that the apps have not fully installed yet. Try tapping and holding on one of them till it says waiting under the app. Another thing you want to check is that the phone has enough storage to install the updates. The apps will stay greyed out if it cannot install an update or install the app altogether if there is not enough space for the app. This usually happens when restoring from a back up.
