White dot on screen iPhone 6s

Couple of weeks ago I've noticed a permanent white spot on the left edge of my 6s display. I'd say two thirds up the screen. Dot is bright white and best seen on white or light grey backgrounds. Dot is about 1mm in diameter.

I live too far away from an official Apple store for casual stroll in but I'm planning to visit one. I'm still on warranty of course this being an 6s but no Apple Care or telephone support.

Has anyone experienced sth like this and got reaction from Apple service?

Hi, I showed it to an Apple store employee and right away he told me it was a warranty case, so I made an appointment at the genius bar and got it fixed in store. Took about 60 minutes.

Most likely hardware or display issue.It can be the result of physical damage. Take your device to the Apple Store for further diagnostics.

Your phone is not broken or defective and does not need to be repaired or taken to the Apple Store. You accidentally turned on "AssistiveTouch" and caused the white dot to appear...I've done it twice. It's very easy to fix.

To remove the white dot--go to Settings--General--scroll down to Accessibility and turn OFF "AssistiveTouch". Problem solved!

It is not Assistive Touch. That is a much larger dot than what is on my screen. Good thought thou.

They replaced the display only. Took an hour. One thing to note however is that the genius asked me for my password to test the unit. I was kind of taken aback and gave it to them. Now I'd change my password beforehand to a simple one in order not to give away my "real" password.
