Mac hang on any file operation

Question

I have desktop Mac Mini (Late 2012), 2,3GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1600 MHZ DDR3, El Capitan 10.11.3I also have Mac Mini Server (2010). My server is used as a file server for my desktop. I have 2 external drives conected to that server. Im using it also as HTPC system.Recently I upgraded memory in my desktop 4GB &#x3D;&gt; 8GB.I also recently upgraded OS in my Mac Mini server from Snow Leopard to El Capitan 10.11.3 and my HTPC app Kodi 14.2 &#x3D;&gt; Kodi 16.Somewhere in this time my problem started :/My destop runs perfectly most of the time.But after longer period of time (especially after night) I got an issue.When I tried (on my desktop) save anything (from textedit to chrome web page) the file dialod doesn&#x27;t open and the whole app freezes (hang).I have to restart my desktop to make file operations work correctly again. I can map my network drives and everything will work, but only for a limited time. I have the same issue, and it was manifesting itself when trying to create a new file to add to a project in XCode. When my Mac Mini gets into this state, XCode completely hangs and the beachball spins until I force quit the application whenever it tries to open the file dialog. Looking at the stack traces I was getting, and the one you posted here, I noticed iCloud in the traces. On a hunch, I went in to settings and tried to change my iCloud settings, and saw the Settings app hang exactly like XCode or Chrome.From there, after a reboot, I went in and completely disabled iCloud (I only use my mini for development, so in my particular case, the cloud integration isn&#x27;t super important). It&#x27;s now been a couple of weeks, and I haven&#x27;t had the issue, where normally it would show up after a couple of days. I&#x27;m pretty confident now that iCloud is the source of this particular bug, and possibly that resetting iCloud (or creating a new user account) would fix the problem, but for me, I&#x27;m just leaving all of the cloud functionality turned off.
