Special Characters: Angle Symbol

Hi, I'm trying to find the 'angle' symbol commonly used in math (Two lines at a 45º angle, an acute 'L')

The previous answer (linked) says to do the following

- Edit

- Special Characters

- Math (etc)

However this is an old post and this option now seems unavailable.

Looks to be replaced by 'Emoji and Symbols' however the closest I can find in that list is '⎳'

I sincerely hope i'm not just missing it. Thanks

Running Yosemite 10.10.3 🙂

geometry angle symbol, can it be typed? which font or keyboard character?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Emoji & Symbols is just a new name for Special Characters.

Did you click on the gear wheel and do Customize and add Math Symbols? I see ∠ at U+2220.

Thanks Tom!

Turns out I wasn't getting the full array of special characters initially for some reason (initially accessing 'Emoji & Symbols' in Safari).

Now it seems accessing the 'Emoji & Symbols' menu from the finder has opened up those extra options, and now those options appear under Safari as well.

Very odd. Thanks for your time!
