Q: How do i import a video from iMovie to Photos?

I imported a video file from my camera using iMovie so I can see it there. But how do I get the same file to show up in Photos now?

How do I save it to the desktop?

I tried to left-click a video and look in the menus, but cannot find a copy/export feature.

Which version of iMovie do you have?

    In iMovie 10.1.2:

    • If you want the unmodified, original video clip in Photos, select the clip in the project media in iMovie and use "File > reveal in Finder ⇧⌘R ". Then copy the revealed clip to your Desktop or another folder and import it from there to Photos. If Photos gives an error message "Nothing to import", the video format is not supported and you have to convert the clip by using the Share menu.
    • If you want to trim the clip or stabilize it before importing it to Photos, create a new project in iMovie, drag the clip to the timeline of the project, edit it, as you like, then use the Share button in the upper right corner of the iMovie toolbar to create a rendered version. Use the "Share > File" option.

I am interested in creating videos by merging different videos and photos too, and it is all about keeping good memory.

I highly recommend you doremisoft video editor which i am using now and it`s an awesome tool.
