Q: How do I get rid of 'other' space on mac?
Hi,
I have a version 10.11.2 (os x el capitan) MacBook Pro (Mid 2010), with 250gb worth of space.
When I checked my storage recently, I found out that the 'other' section of my mac takes up majority of my disk space. I only have around 2g space free.
Does anyone know why I have so much of other space in my storage? And how to get rid of it? I just find it absolutely ridiculous that it takes up nearly 200gb of my 250gb mac. I know people who only have around 40gb of other space...
I've already tried deleting useless apps, music, photos, caches, fonts, web history, videos/movies, and even used mac sweeper and omni disk sweeper.
I deleted around 30gb worth of space yesterday and the next day I have 2gb?? It's so frustrating, please help, any help is highly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Pam
