Bad response to multi touch

I first noticed the problem when I played a game that required 2 or more fingers touch at the same time. When 2 fingers touch the screen at the same time, the iPad registers one touch first and the second touch after a noticable delay of about 100-150ms. I tried using 2 pieces of sausage (lol) to touch the screen and the problem still persists
