Random Contacts

I was looking through my contacts today and noticed that there were a lot of people listed (complete with home addresses etc). that I don't know and did not add to my phone myself! As far as I can tell these are not contacts from my email either. They almost look like they could be from a family member but we have completely different accounts, numbers, bills etc. Is there a way I can easily remove these and/or prevent this from happening again? Additionally, does anyone know why this could be happening?

It could be coming from sharing Apple ID's. If you go to iCloud in Settings just verify that you only sign in with this Apple ID. Also, could be coming from your emails. Work emails, personal emails, third party apps (like Facebook, etc.), linked contacts. Check under Mail, Contacts, Calendars, under settings and check if you have an option turned on that says "Contacts found in Mail". You can also check in that very same section in your account see if you contacts turned on or off. Also, you can check which groups you are syncing your contacts with. Go to Contacts App and on the lefthand side if you have groups, it will say groups and tap on that to see where your contacts are coming from. Hope this helps!
