Q: Colour over saturation on export in FCP 7

hi all,

having a problem with exporting footage (and stills) from fcp7 - never happened before - it over saturates colour, especially reds, on export. Any thoughts? below is the screen shot from fcp and then the exported still.

What kind of still are you exporting (tiff, png etc.)?

How are you viewing the exported still?

What is the format of your source material? If it is H.264 try converting the source file to ProRes and then doing the export from that and see if there is any difference

In addition to what MTD noted, make sure your Gamma correction (in System Settings>Playback Control) is set to "Approximate" and you are viewing on a verifiable monitor.

Also, when you are viewing the video and still images, you need the gamma for them to match (most likely 2.2)

    Best,
