What is a: backend error

I was not able to upload a movie inside compressor to youtube. I got the message, that the video could not be uploaded because of BACKEND ERROR.

What does that mean?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Well, something with the youtube login was wrong.

So when I tried it again, I had to fill in my login information and the second time it worked. So the meaning of this "Error" was: you did not login for Youtube, Compressore can't export it because there is no connection to Youtube.
