Q: Nano silent
My 7th generation Nano suddenly has gone silent even when it seems to be playing. The headphones work in my iPhone and different headphones don't work in my Nano which suggests I've done something wrong in Settings but I can't work out what. Can anyone suggest anything?

Just to confirm, make sure the headphones plug is fully inserted into the headphones jack of iPod. It sounds like you have been using your iPod already, so this may not be the problem in your case. But new owners often ask this question (about having no sound) because they did not push hard enough to fully insert the plug, until it "snaps" into place.
If you have not already, do a Reset (restart) of the iPod

If the iPod does not have sound after the Reset, you may want to do a Restore on the iPod using iTunes. This erases the iPod, reinstalls its software, and sets it to default settings.
If the iPod still does not have sound after the Restore, there may be a hardware problem, such as a faulty headphones jack. If your iPod is less than one year from purchase date, it is under warranty.
