How do I enable a new track for recording? It seems like I can only record on track 1 on the new version.

How do I enable track 2 (or 3, or 4) to record? It seems like I can only select track 1 for recording in this new version I just downloaded. Enabling a track wasn't a problem in the old version!

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)

GarageBand will record onto the currently selected track, when you click the record button.

Double click the track header to make sure the track is really highlighted as selected.

Open the Smart controls for the track and clicl ℹ to see, if the record settings are o.k. and an input channel has been assigned.
