smart playlist boolean logic

i have an ipod nano 8th gen.

used to have a shuffle and wanted to setup a version of autofill.

i read on one support thread how to do this.

in itunes create a smart playlist and sync the ipod using just that playlist.

i have lots of different kinds of files from aac 128 to WAV 44.1.

i want to filter out the WAV's from a smart playlist because they take up too much room, but can't work out how to do it.

if i use the boolean logic of 'kind' 'is not' 'WAV' (typed in freefrom in the box) it doesn't work as the playlist has plenty of WAV's

i can't use bit rate as i have a bunch of albums bought from Bandcamp that are in ALAC format but are 1411kbps.

does the logic not work, or am i entering 'kind' incorrectly.

the weird thing is it names the playlist whatever i enter into the final free from box.

in other words i tried to creat a WAV free playlist, and it named it WAV 😕
