Mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort 1.2

Hi

Im trying to connect my new 4K monitor to my 2013 Mac Pro at the moment . At the back of the of the monitor has mini DisplayPort , hdmi 1.4 , display port 1.2 . My question is which is a better choice , DisplayPort 1.2 to mini display port or mini display port to Mini DisplayPort ?

you best go to mac pro mini display port and to display use display port.

Shouldn't make any difference. DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort are the same except for the connector. If you are going to unplug and plug it a lot, the DisplayPort might be more rugged.
