popup menu at the end of song titles

There is a self-appearing button that positions itself directly after the song name of any song I hover my mouse over when itunes is in songs list view.

The button's appearance is a circle with 3 dots inside the circle. The button is presented for any song(s) selected in the list, and whatever song row the mouse is hovering over. Clicking this button invokes a short menu of options: Add to Playlist, Add to Up Next, Start Genius, etc. Delete is the last option. Basically it looks like a subset of the options you get when you RMB click over a selected song row. Hopefully this identifies the button I'm referring to.

My questions are, what is this button called, and is there a way to turn it off?

Hi, sdh91.

Thank you for the question and I do know which button you are referencing. This is called the More button and gives you various options for your media. Some of the options include starting a station based on the artist, adding media to a playlist, delete and making media available offline. The More button is part of iTunes 12 and can not be disabled at this time.

Thanks for the information jason269. I somewhat suspected it was not possible to disable the More button but I appreciate the confirmation.

On the outside chance people from Apple follows these forums, I'll just offer my opinion about the More button. I'm finding it to be a tremendous inconvenience. I am constantly tripping over it (activating it unintentionally) when I just want to select song row(s). The fact that this button is not in a fixed place (for example in its own column) but rather at the end of song titles whose lengths are always different, makes it's position less intuitive and therefore harder to avoid.

I've had to assume the approach of never clicking when my mouse is anywhere in the song title column. This way I never accidentally open the More menu, but "avoiding" the song title column is an inconvenience itself.

I really think there should be an option to turn off the More button. Or, give the button its own column so users can put wherever they think it's most convenient.
