The thing is if you calculate there a part of hdd missing around 70 gb. Can someone tell me how can i format it or bring it back so i can add it to MACOS partition without having to reformat the whole hdd?

Thanks in advance,

Suraj

It is not showing up at all.

Not sure what the reason might be.

Your Recovery HD is missing. Please post the output of

sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

You have a large gap after Windows which is the bulk of your space. How was your Recovery HD removed? Does Windows boot? What year/model is your Mac?

Once i partitioned using the Windows disk management, MAC stopped working and so did the recovery partition. So i did internet recovery of mac after which mac and boot camp both were working but there was the gap of 70 gb that was missing.

I searched online and just now used gparted live on usb to partition the unallocated space. after using this the missing partition came back but bootcamp stopped working.

So now I have deleted the bootcamp partition(wasnt using it anyways) out of frustration. And now my drive has 250 gb back on MACOS. So now all I want to do is get the recovery partition back. If possible el capitan as i do not want to always restore mavericks and then upgrade to el capitan.

I have macbook pro 13 retina display late 2013 model.

So using third party software to create partition worked for me.

If you have all your space, to get Recovery HD back, boot into Internet Recovery and re-install OS X. Be aware that Internet Recovery may give you an older version of OS X that was shipped with your Mac.
