iPhone 5s stuck in continuous reboot loop

My iPhone 5s has always been great. IOS is current. My daughter was using it last night to stream Pandora, but had finished and it was just sitting there. It started a continuous reboot loop. I have tried the hard reboot (still just cycles) and I've tried plugging it into my laptop to sync with iTunes (never gives me the chance to enter my Passcode, yet iTunes gives me the error that I didn't enter my Passcode). I have also let the battery die and then restarted it, but it still just cycles. I've searched for answers, and they all seem to focus on the fact that this happens to iPhones that have been jailbroken, but mine has never been jailbroken.

Having a similar issue with two phones and am really scratching my head on what the cause is. Approximately two-three days ago they both started to blue screen / boot loop. But the weird thing is that they both do it at 3 minute 15 second intervals.

Both are iPhone 5s

One is Verizon running 9.2.1 (13D15)

Other is Sprint running 8.4 (12H143)

The Verizon phone updated a few apps within the last week. I deleted those apps and still same issue.

The Sprint phone hasn't updated any apps recently.

So far I haven't found anything that might be a common problem between the two. Any ideas?

I too have had this issue develop lately, and some will have luck with the suggestions offered, but a lot of others including myself, won't. After pleading with Apple to fix or replace my iPhone, I've been told that because it's older than 2 years, bad luck…. Yes I've been offered a replacement for FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS, but it's a sad day when a $AU1000 phone has been relegated to being a disposable piece of junk and after only such a short time. Shame on you Apple for putting profit and shareholders before customers.

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
  • Press and hold on the Home button
  • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this will erase the data from your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

As a final step, try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your device. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.
