How to use PHOTOS outside of PHOTOS.

If you're running 10.11.3 and Photos 1.3 you can edit photos from inside your library with Photoshop by purchasing External Editors For Photos for $0.99 from the App Store. How it works is described in this user tip: External Editors in Photos Are Here.

For accessing your photos for use outside of the library read this user tip: How to Access Files in iPhoto. It is valid for a Photos library as well.
