Q: AirDrop Problems

My son is travelling in Costa Rica with his iPhone 6 Plus and cannot get AirDrop to work. He cannot see his friends devices and they cannot see his. Wifi and Bluetooth are on and software updates are current. He is desperate to get this functioning; any ideas?

Try a Forced Restart. See if it helps. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it comes up. He will not lose anything.

We have tried this. Also reset privacy and location settings. Thanks for the quick reply
