Iphone calendar and Outlook calendar doesn't sync

I have been using the following process to sync since I bought my iPhone 5. I use iTunes to sync my Outlook Contacts and Calendars to my phone. I am running Windows 7 and my software is up to date on the phone and the PC. It takes a few minutes and updates both sides nicely, until now.

In the last couple of days I have had events entered on the phone not sync to the Outlook Calendar, and events entered in Outlook not appearing on the phone.

I've rebooted the phone. Started sync again. It goes through the process with no error message but fails to update the events. This is a big problem as I've missed one meeting today and almost missed another.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.1.1

Hi,

I had a similar problem. Syncing well for years - yesterday nothing! I tried many of Apple's fixes with no luck. Eventually I installed iCloud and synced wirelessly. However, I didn't like what iCloud did to Outlook 2016 so the hunt for a solution continued. I found this post Outlook will not Sync Calendar and followed Frank Holland's advice. Amazingly enough I had a corrupted recurring appointment in my calendar that was preventing the sync. I deleted it and syncing works again. Imagine that! I don't know if this will solve your problem but it may be worth a look.

I've removed iCloud from my PC in order to clean-up Outllook 2016.

If you are having issues syncing your Outlook contacts and calendars with your iPhone, take a look at the troubleshooting steps below. Your profile indicates you are running iOS 7.1. Updating to the latest version of the iOS may help your situation.

If you can‘t sync contacts and calendars using iTunes for Windows

Judy,

I just checked settings on my phone. It says I have version 9.2.1.

I have already done all of the steps indicated in the troubleshooting guide.

FYI, many of the related discussions pertain to users who utilize iCloud. I do not. I physically connect my phone via USB to my PC, which launches iTunes, and then the sync process begins. Except now, it doesn't sync even though it says it is doing so.
