Iphone 6 rear camera issue

My rear camera works fine for capturing videos and panorama images. However, it does not capture a picture. It does not work in any application such as instagram or snapchat, giving the error:cannot capture the picture. It starts working for small intervals but gets back to the same state again really quick. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Is the a hardware or a software issue? And is there solution to this? Super annoyed now!
