Q: Windows 10 upgrade and problems with Apple ID authorization
Hi! I reluctantly upgraded my Windows 8.1 laptop to Windows 10 on Saturday. I've had this HP laptop for over a year now; I use iTunes frequently, and I have downloaded and watched TV episodes that I purchased with my Apple ID on this laptop: I KNOW it has been authorized for months. Yesterday, my daughter and i were using Home Sharing on our laptops with my Apple ID signed into both computers. Suddenly, I was notified that my laptop was not authorized for my ID. Huh? How could this be?
Foolishly, I deauthorized an older laptop that I sometimes use and reauthorized my new laptop. But now, reading this article -- Deauthorize your computer using iTunes -- I realize what happened. Now I feel like I've wasted one of my authorizations. If I'd seen this article first, I'd have tried to deauthorize my computer a few times before reauthorizing. But--I didn't. Is there any way (aside from deauthorizing all 5 of my authorized computers, 3 of which are with my kids in other cities) to get rid of the multiple authorization on my recently upgraded HP laptop?
Thanks,
Sandi
