Q: Help needed to activate iPod!!!!

I Got and iPod 5 from a friend and I reset it and everything and it worked fine for awhile but it kept saying I need a code but I just ignored it thinking it was no big deal but the today it completely shut off and won't turn on at all . I tried force restarting it and everything. I plugged it into a charger and it didn't even lite up. It's completely non responsive. I looked on a lot of websites trying to figure out what to do and I forget my security code questions and it doesn't give me the opt for reset the questions. I would really apprecite some help figuring out what I can do to turn my iPod back on.
